I joined users of Alpamare at Scarborough Town Hall today (1 December 2023) to hear an update on its future from councillors. I have called for it to reopen as soon as possible and that any new management make it affordable to all locals. Following their statement I am cautiously optimistic.
It remains a complicated legal process but the council reassured us that they expect the administrators to maintain the site in working condition and that the council's leadership is also hopeful that it will reopen.
