Delighted that the Government has saved Scarborough ticket office given clear community support to keep it open. I, along with many neighbours in Scarborough and the wider community, objected during the consultation and I raised the issue numerous times with Ministers at the Department of Transport
Scarborough’s situation as a terminus, with many elderly and less abled rail users, means our ticket office needs to remain open. Living in Scarborough I know how well used it is and will always work to ensure our community's voice and particularly those who are vulnerable are heard.
